Recycled phosphorus one step closer to market

Field

Ragn-Sells innovation company EasyMining is taking a major step toward more circular and sustainable agriculture with the breakthrough recycled phosphorus product RevoCaP. The product is leading the way in closing nutrient cycles and moving closer to market, but the journey isn’t over yet.

A high-purity recycled phosphorus fertiliser, RevoCaP is produced through EasyMining’s patented Ash2Phos process, and is now approved for use in organic farming across the EU—a major milestone for sustainable agriculture.

Phosphorus is essential for food production, yet global reserves are finite and mining causes severe environmental impacts. By recycling phosphorus, Ragn-Sells and EasyMining are reducing dependency on virgin resources, cutting emissions, and creating a fully circular solution for one of agriculture’s most critical nutrients.

The EU’s approval for organic farming opens a new market for RevoCaP, and EasyMining is ramping up efforts to bring this innovation to farmers. Commercialisation is underway, with the first large-scale Ash2Phos plants in Germany and Sweden set to boost Europe’s self-sufficiency in phosphorus recovery.

Asko Kinnunen came on board in September, as EasyMining’s newest product manager for nutrients with a goal to fully develop the go-to-market plan.

– We’re at the commercialisation point in the process now, which is very important. It’s drawing nearer to when the first RevoCaP-based product will be available, and it’s quite realistic to say we will see RevoCaP in a farming application by late 2027, Asko says.
