On April 21, 2023, the environmental company Ragn-Sells inaugurated the world's first facility for recycling pure salts from fly ash generated from waste incineration. The plant in Upplands-Bro extracts valuable salts with 90 percent lower carbon footprint compared to traditional methods of salt production.
